Move from Resend to Sendicorn

Create a Sendicorn API key, verify your sending domain, then set RESEND_BASE_URL to our API. Your code and Resend's SDKs stay as they are. See the prices side by side.

What moves

Resend

Comes over

  • Your code, unchanged
  • Sending through Resend's SDKs
  • Idempotency keys, scheduling and batches

Stays behind

  • Hosted templates: render the email before sending
  • Inbound email and SMTP
  • Domains: add them again in the panel
  1. 01

    Create an API key

In the panel, open API keys and create an App or website key. Keys start with sc_live_.

  2. 02

    Add your sending domain

Open Domains in the panel and add the domain you send from. Copy the records it shows to your DNS host: three DKIM records, a MAIL FROM record and its SPF line, and, if the domain has none, the DMARC record it suggests.

    DKIMMAIL FROMSPFDMARC

The panel checks the records by itself for 72 hours, and Check again runs the check at once. Your old account keeps sending while you wait.

  3. 03

    Change two settings

Resend's official SDKs read the base URL from the environment. Set both and restart the app:

    # .env
    RESEND_BASE_URL=https://app.sendicorn.com/api/resend
    RESEND_API_KEY=sc_live_...

Code that calls https://api.resend.com with fetch needs the same base URL in place of the hard-coded one.

  4. 04

    Send a test, then switch

Send one email to yourself and check it in the panel's Emails log. To go back, restore your Resend key and unset RESEND_BASE_URL.

    What works differently

    Endpoints
Send, batch, get, reschedule and cancel emails, and read your domains. Other paths answer 404 in Resend's shape.
    Hosted templates
Not supported. React emails work: the SDK renders them before sending.
    Recipients
Up to 50 across to, cc and bcc together.
    Attachments
Up to 10 MB per email.
    Limits
10 requests a second and 1,000 recipients an hour per API key. Write to us before a large launch.
    Webhooks
Set up in the panel and signed the way Resend signs them, so a receiver written for Resend accepts them.

Questions

Do I have to rewrite my Resend code?

No. Resend's official SDKs read the base URL from RESEND_BASE_URL, so the switch is that setting and a new key. Code that calls the API with fetch needs the same base URL.

How do I go back?

Unset RESEND_BASE_URL and restore your Resend key. Nothing else changes.

What doesn't work the same?

Hosted templates, inbound email and SMTP aren't supported. An email takes up to 50 recipients and 10 MB of attachments, and a key sends to up to 1,000 recipients an hour.
